Man dies in ‘work-related incident’ on Derbyshire road

A man has died in a “work-related incident” on a Derbyshire road this morning.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said the man was working on a vehicle in Digby Street, Ilkeston, at about 10.40am when a fatal incident happened.

Police were unable to release any more details about the incident.

Firefighters and the air ambulance also attended the scene.

The man’s family are being informed of his death and the case has been passed on to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to investigate.

A spokesman for the HSE said: “We’re aware of this incident and have been liaising with police.”
