New Mills coast to win

NEW MILLS women’s squash team notched up another victory after hosting Brooklands 2.

Alison Martin, Denise Wales and Di Howe all sailed through their matches, easing to 3-0 wins.

Linda Done took a game to get into her stride but then went on to win by a convincing 3-1 scoreline.

Jean Boston was the only one to come up against any opposition in a closely-fought match against a nippy young player. She took the match to five close games, just running out of steam at the end to lose 3-2.

Despite this, the team was pleased with the final points score of 18-4.

New Mills’ next match is away against Astra Zeneca at Alderley Edge.
