Sports hit United for six
The third Saturday of the new Midlands Regional Alliance season saw plenty of goals to celebrate.
In the Premier Division, Matlock Sports hit six to record their first win of the season with home team Punjab United responding with three of their own.
Swanwick Pentrich Road won 4-1 over Newmount while Allestree shaded Newhall United 2-1.
Could this be the season that Ripley Town finally play to their potential? Certainly a 6-1 away win over Bargate Rovers suggests that this might be so.
However, Woolley Moor United might have ideas on where the trophies in Division One may be headed. Witness a 4-2 win at Allenton United Reserves.
Rowsley 86 Reserves lost 4-2 to Mickleover RBL Reserves while one team that is really hot at the moment is Ambergate, who beat Chellaston Reserves 7-0.
Pastures Reserves won 2-1 at Wirksworth Town Reserves.
