Teams look to try again
AFTER Saturday’s complete whiteout of the fixtures, our local hockey teams will look to return to action this weekend, weather permitting, of course.
Derwent Hockey Club’s 1sts will look to put their first league defeat in 12 months behind them when they travel to take on Leicester University.
Heath Roberts’s men are still well clear at the top of the table and will look to push on towards gaining promotion during the remainder of the campaign.
The seconds are home to Buxton in a tasty local derby and the thirds entertain Leicester Westleigh.
As for Matlock Baileans, the firsts are away at Beeston 2nds, the seconds travel to take on Boots 2nds, the thirds are at home to Woodlands, the fourths welcome Asterdale to Wirksworth, the fifths are at Ilkeston and the sixths travel to take on Asterdale 3rds.
