AN awareness event to promote gymnastics for young people with a disability is coming to Derbyshire.
The East Midlands Gymnastics and Trampolining Disability Roadshow will be a chance for people to come along and try gymnastics and trampolining for themselves, and find out how they can get more involved.

It will also be a chance for teachers and coaches to get new ideas and support to allow them to work with disabled performers.

The day will be a mix of practical ‘come and try’ sessions and workshops, as well as a number of displays by disabled gymnasts.

All ages are welcome and no previous gymnastics or trampolining experience is required – the emphasis is on learning and having fun.

The roadshow will be held at Moorways Sports Complex on Sunday, April 27, from 10am until 4pm.

Anyone wishing to attend must register in advance and should contact event organiser Gemma Barton at gemma.barton@englishgymnastics.org or call 07739990210 before April 18 to complete a booking form.
