STANTON remain consistently inconsistent in Division One of the Sheaf Sports Yorkshire and Derbyshire Cricket League.
Nick Rosling set them on their way to 194-8 against Hundall with 73, 5-42 from Chris Pursehouse were the best bowling figures.

In reply, Graeme Badcock hit 63 in the run chase for Hundall who won by three wickets, Mick Clarke’s haul of 5-40 proving to be not quite enough.

Calver’s Edward Coxhead claimed tidy figures of 6-28 on an unpredictable Ashford wicket.

The home side closed on 158-8 with young Jamie Carrington showing much promise with his 45 not out.

Calver dug in and eventually won by eight wickets, Doug Howie making 59 and last week’s record breaker Tom Hilton scoring a rather more modest 69 not out for a result which took Calver out of the bottom two.

In Division Two, Grindleford’s in-form Tom Skelton pulled out a huge innings of 118 not out, supported well by the equally in-form Tom Outram, who made 79 of Grindleford’s 238-5.
