In a post on Facebook, Wingerworth and Rural Police Safer Neighbourhood Team urged residents to speak to them about their concerns. The force wrote: “We are currently out on patrol keeping an eye on Bolehill Quarry as we have had reports of people visiting the area and entering the private land. “Feel free to come and talk to us if you see us out #OpDerbyshire”. It comes after reports that people are parking at the top of the road, going down the quarry and ‘walking in and out with holdalls’ along with ‘endless cars’ in and around the area.
