Fined for possessing speed in Buxton

A Chapel-en-le-Frith man has received a 12-month conditional discharge for possessing speed.

James Timpson admitted possessing 1.94g of amphetamine on November 11 and was sentenced at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday. The 29-year-old, of Market Street, was found with the class B drug, worth £20, on Alma Street, in Buxton. He was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
