Donate gifts for care home residents in north east Derbyshire who may not see family this Christmas
North East Derbyshire District Council, together with its housing partner Rykneld Homes, has launched its ‘Care at Christmas’ appeal to provide a surprise festive gift.
They are inviting communities to get behind the appeal by donating small gifts such as biscuits, chocolates, jigsaws, bubble bath and bed socks or you can donate online, with the money used to buy gifts for the residents.

“With this appeal we want to spread a little Christmas cheer for them with a gift to open on Christmas Day.
"With advice from the homes themselves appropriate gifts include chocolate, sweets, biscuits, bubble bath and bed socks.”
A central drop off point has been provided at the district council offices on Mill Lane, Wingerworth.
