Some of the latest Derbyshire offenders to be put behind bars

Police and the courts have successfully brought to justice a string of offenders in recent weeks and here are some of those who have been jailed.

Among those to be imprisoned at Derby Crown Court are a group of three men including Ronaldo Isaku, 24, Danil Bakirtzis, 22, and Bernard Tola, 26, of Derby, who sexually abused a Belper woman.

In a separate Derby Crown Court case, Michael Nicholls, 37, of Brimington, Chesterfield, was jailed for assaulting a woman.

Darren Thornley 47, of Selston, was jailed at Nottingham Crown Court for possessing an offensive weapon, for an assault and for threatening a person.

In two separate cases at Chesterfield magistrates' court, Kathryn Irons, 37, of Creswell, was jailed after committing a theft and two assaults, and Ben Griffin, 25, of Birdholme, Chesterfield, was jailed after committing a theft and breaching a suspended prison sentence.
