Wayne Madsen looking for Derbyshire CCC improvement in T20 Blast
Madsen’s men endured a torrid time in last season’s competition and finished bottom of their group with just one win in 14 matches.
They enjoyed more success in the 50 over format, where they reached the quarter-final stagees of the CB 50 competition.

Hide AdDerbyshire have strengthened significantly in their quest for limited overs honours with the signings of World Cup star Martin Guptill, Melbourne Renegades bowler Nathan Rimmington and Sri Lankan batter Tillakaratne Dilshan.
“The T20 is huge for us this summer and one of the areas where we want to really improve in,” said Madsen.
“To win just one game, albeit against the champions, last year was very disappointing.
“As a club we are targeting the knock-out stages. I want us to bring the drama and excitement back to the county.

“As players it is our responsibility to make that happen. T20 is vital to Derbyshire and we want to push on.
“We have made some strong signings and we are confident that we will be more competitive in T20 this season.”
