Lorry crashes
Luckily, nobody was injured when this nine-ton lorry careered through the window of the Derwent Valley Co-operative Society in Matlock.
A shop assistant was cut by flying glass, a woman looking in the window received a cut hand and the driver – who jumped clear just before the crash – sustained a cut chin and bruises.
The lorry was travelling down Steep Turnpike when the drive shaft broke and the driver lost control.

The lorry eventually came to rest six feet inside the store, smashing a marble counter and bacon slicer.
